JOSEPH E. LAIRD
Hello, my name is Joe Laird, a Licensed Professional Counselor, with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals and families. My goal is to serve and inspire individuals and families to grow mentally, intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. I am looking forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with you. Why should see a counselor? Most counselors are trained to identify the origins, triggers and interventions that can help reduce issues you are dealing with. Issues such as depression, anxiety, mood swings, anger, substance and alcohol abuse, to name a few.
My goal as a therapist is to provide clients with a safe and supportive environment, while encouraging and promoting them to grow psychologically to reach their optimal potential of autonomy. I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults. I am experienced in working with individuals with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Marital counseling, divorce grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship/family counseling, grief and spiritual counseling. I also provide mentoring and academic tutoring for children and adolescence.
My therapeutic approach is an eclectic approach to therapy that includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Individual Therapy, and Spiritual Principles.
